Introducing Caribou

Caribou started with a simple idea: take the gummy category somewhere a little more wild.

Born in Alaska and inspired by one of the state’s greatest icons, Caribou was designed to feel vibrant, playful, delicious, and unmistakably ours. And while the finished brand might look light and polished, we obsessed over just about every detail along the way.

The name. The colors. The packaging. The flavors. And, perhaps most importantly, the gummy itself.

Yes, We Really Did Think That Hard About the Hoof Print.

If you’re going to make a gummy called Caribou Tracks, it should probably look like a caribou track.

We could have made a standard gummy, slapped a logo on it, and called it a day. Instead, we spent an unreasonable amount of time figuring out how to turn a caribou hoof into something recognizable, playful, and most importantly—delicious.

How much detail could we get into something that fits in the palm of your hand? How do you make the shape feel like a real track without losing the fun of a piece of candy?

We obsessed over it until it felt right. We even consulted with biologist and resident caribou expert, Mark Lindberg, who helped us refine our track to be exactly like that of a caribou.

From the Wild to the Wrapper

That same thinking shaped everything around the gummy.

We wanted Caribou to feel like Alaska, but not in the expected way. Less postcard. More personality.

Alaska is massive, colorful, strange, beautiful, rugged, unpredictable, and a little bit fun. We wanted to capture some of that energy while building a brand bold enough to stand out on a shelf and at home on a trail, at a campsite, or wherever the day takes you.

Even the idea of Caribou Tracks comes from movement. Caribou are epic travelers, covering enormous distances across Alaska and beyond. That sense of adventure became part of the brand DNA.

And then there's the name itself. Caribou are an iconic part of life in Alaska, and, yes, one of the state's favorite food sources.

So naturally: There’s more than one way to eat a Caribou.
